week of 20th January-2018

Last week in Maths students did some hands on measurement on different centers. They measured weight of each other, height, found the approximate perimeter of the T shirts, compared the liters against milliliters. Below are some photographs of the same:

Week-2(term-3) and homework-18th Jan-2018

In Maths, some revision was done on fractions, decimals and percentage and the topic measurement was continued with focus on measuring angles with protractors and compass.

In English the novel study is being continued

Service - 5A

Students conducted a survey in the school on reduce, reuse and recycle. The survey was conducted to understand how conscious are the staff of Aga Khan Academy and what action are they taking towards it.

They used survey monkey to collect the data.

Date from the above survey was used to take an action. The data is very positive which shows that the people in our school are consciously taking action to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Students decided to make posters to re-enforce the 3R's and they will put up the posters in the administration department.

In the first week, students revised the 3D shapes and their properties.

In English novel study, The tale of Despereaux is being continued.

In unit of inquiry, students are revisiting the essential elements of PYP.
